For Ziehl-Neelsen staining — an arrangement & liasie with MLT, KK Maharani for AFB smear procedure to be done at Lab, KK Maharani.

Medication & Pharmacy

First-Line Anti-TB Drugs:

• Fixed-dose combinations preferred: Isoniazid (H), Rifampicin (R), Pyrazinamide (Z), Ethambutol (E)
• Streptomycin (if needed for intensive phase)
• Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) supplementation

Storage Requirements:

• Temperature-controlled storage (15–25°C)
• Separate locked cabinet for rifampicin (to prevent misuse)
• Inventory management system — FEFO (First Expired First Out)
